Frequently Asked Questions
How often do you restock?
We have a drop the first Friday of each month at 7PM est. The shop will stay open until midnight that Sunday. In each drop, we introduce 20+ new styles and have a large amount of older styles available.
How long will my order take to ship?
Our shop is preorder based. Our turnaround time is 4-6 weeks to ship items from each month's drop. This helps us reduce acrylic waste and gives us time to lasercut and hand assemble each piece. If you ordered a ready to ship item at any time throughout the month, that will typically take 3-5 business days to ship out. International orders are NOT guaranteed within this time frame to allow for any issues with customs. Intl orders are not guaranteed to arrive before any holidays.
I missed a drop, when will I get a chance to order a newer style again?
We restock almost all of our styles the first Friday of every month. We do retire styles a few drops after they've debuted, but we always announce what styles are heading to the last chance section before the drop. Make sure you're following us on Instagram @shoppurplebanana (https://www.instagram.com/shoppurplebanana/) to be up to date on our retirement lists.
My package was marked as delivered but I didn't receive it. What should I do?
We are no longer responsible for packages once they have been dropped off at the post office. We can't see what happens to the packages on our end, so the best thing to do is to file a claim with your local post office. If you live in an apartment building, it's best to check with your neighbors or leasing office to see if it was delivered to the wrong spot.
What the heck is your return policy?
We do not accept returns. We take great care in making sure your items are absolutely perfect before they are packed up and sent to their new homes. If your item(s) were damaged in transit, please email us at email@example.com.
My item broke! What do I do?
If your post has fallen off your earring all you need to do is scrape off the old glue and re-glue the post back on. We use e6000 which can be found at most craft stores. Please make sure to let your new post cure for 24-72 hours before wearing your earrings again. If you have a different type of damage, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be more than happy to help!
Can I get different hardware?
Absolutely! You can request hooks, leverbacks, clip ons, or blank backs if you want to glue your own plugs to the back. Some styles we are not able to accommodate hardware changes, and the listing will say so. We do not take hardware color requests. I.E. If the style comes with gold hooks, we do not change them to silver.
I entered the wrong address on my order
Please triple check your shipping address before placing an order. We totally understand mistakes happen (and sometimes paypal does not give you the option to change your address before the order goes through). If you need your shipping address changed, please email us with your order number and the new address.
I saw an item on social media that's not available on the website
Make sure to check out our bio on Instagram and countdown at the top of the website. This will tell you when our next drop is, which is when almost all of our styles will be available. Any styles going into retirement will be posted on our Instagram page.
Do you take custom orders?
Not at this time. Working on each drop takes the entire month and unfortunately we just don't have time to accommodate customs. You can always make design suggestions, and we will definitely consider them!
What are your items made of?
We use acrylic for all of our products! 3m and E6000 are used as adhesives and all posts are made of raw brass and stainless steel. If you have any allergy concerns shoot us an email!
All items are handmade. Please allow room for any minor imperfections as we are just 3 humans running the shop. If there are any major imperfections with your product or your product arrived damaged please send an email to email@example.com within 7 days of receiving your items.
